CBSE EXAM PATTERN

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examination pattern at Gurukul Public School reflects a commitment to fostering a comprehensive and insightful evaluation of students. Following CBSE guidelines, our exam pattern is designed to assess not just rote memorization but also critical thinking, analytical skills, and practical application of knowledge. Emphasizing the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system, our approach involves regular assessments, formative and summative evaluations, and a range of activities that contribute to a holistic understanding of each student's academic progress. This pattern aligns with CBSE's vision of promoting a stress-free learning environment, encouraging students to express themselves creatively and showcasing their unique talents. We believe in preparing students not just for exams but for lifelong learning, instilling a sense of curiosity and a passion for knowledge.

The assessment of students are done in two areas i.e.

  2. Co-Scholastic

Scholastic Area: The assessment structure and examination for classes VI to VIII comprises of two terms i.e. Term I and II :

Co-Scholastic Activities (Classes VI-VIII)

For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities are being carried out in our school by the teachers and students are graded term-wise on a 3-point grading scale (A=Outstanding, B=Very Good and C=Fair).

It also includes:

  1. Work Education - Work Education refers to skill-based activities
  2. Art Education - (Art and Craft)
  3. Health and Physical Education (Outdoor & Indoor Sports and Yoga)

Discipline (Classes VI-VIII)

students are also assessed for discipline which are basically based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards teachers and others. Grading on Discipline are also done on a 3-point grading scale (A=Outstanding, B=Very Good and C=Fair).

Report Card

Based on the above assessment scheme, report cards are issued.
